Cords

Multiple yarns are twisted together – depending on the desired cord dimension and grade – and provided with a knitted sheath on request. Thanks to the different temperature limits of Frenzelit’s various grades and the optimum raw material processing, the cords can be perfectly coordinated to the respective customer application. The cords have the following advantages:

Application temperature limit up to 250 °C (short peaks up to 380 °C)

The base materials in novaTEX^® textiles are high-strength synthetic fibers such as m-aramid, p-aramid or blends with Preox, etc. These staple fibers do not melt and are incombustible. They give the textile novaTEX^® products extraordinarily high abrasion and chemical resistance. One of most outstanding features of novaTEX^® is its mechanical strength.
Application areas: For applications that require high mechanical strength and special abrasion resistance (e.g. glass industry, conveyor belts).

Application temperature limit 550 °C (short peaks up to 650 °C)

E-glass is the base material in isoGLAS^® products. Texturing guarantees a large storage volume and thus good insulation properties. The product line is extremely textile and harmless to health.

Incombustible (in accordance with DIN 4102)
Loss on ignition < 1.5%

Application temperature limit 750 °C (short peaks up to 800 °C)

These textured special glass-based products are extremely textile even at high temperatures. isoTHERM^® 800 has a green color, is characterized by its high temperature and chemical resistance and is harmless to health.

Loss on ignition < 3%

Note: Temperature exposure leads to color loss. This does not affect temperature resistance!

Application temperature limit 850 °C (short peaks up to 1000 °C)

Chemically treated E-glass is the base material. The components that melt at a low temperature are eliminated from the E-glass fibers in the process, which increases temperature resistance. isoTHERM^® 1000 products with a light blue color are extremely textile, very skin friendly and harmless to health.

Filament diameter 6 μm - 9 μm
Incombustible (fire class A1 woven fabric approval according to DIN 4102)

Note: Temperature exposure leads to color loss. This does not affect temperature resistance!

Application temperature limit 1050 °C (short peaks up to 1100 °C)

High-temperature-resistant SiO2 special glass fibers are the base material of these products. Properties include low thermal conductivity and ultra-low heat storage. isoTHERM^® S / ST is skin friendly and harmless to health.

Incombustible (in accordance with DIN 4102)
Loss on ignition (S-type) < 8%
Loss on ignition (ST-type) < 3%
